Dahlia with Scented Roses

Angela Beaumont is a Wingham artist who has lived in the area for over 40 years. She paints plein air landscapes and still life subjects using a wide range of media, including acrylic on canvas, and watercolour, pencil, wax crayon and waterproof ink on paper. With the use of pure colour and careful composition she invites the viewer to contemplate the divine force in nature, taking them into a place of freshness and renewal. Angela, who has been a teacher for many years, has recently written and illustrated a children's picture book, 'The Golden Bird', which is a fantasy featuring the local landscape.
