Fundraising for the KCA

When you join the KCA as a paid member, buy from one of our community fundraisers, or attend a KCA event or activity, you’re helping keep Killabakh alive and connected.

The Killabakh Community Association (KCA) is entirely volunteer-run. Every dollar raised goes straight back into maintaining and improving the spaces, services, and small joys that make this village what it is. That includes the hall and grounds, the community Chronicle, our Facebook page, website, and the activities that bring neighbours together throughout the year.

These things don’t fund themselves. They rely on the time, effort, and goodwill of locals who care about where they live. Supporting KCA means supporting the heart of Killabakh: the friendships, shared stories, and practical projects that keep our rural community strong, visible, and ready to look after each other when it matters most.

This is what gives our community a voice, it helps our real estate value, and increases our resilience during crises. It's essential for our community's survival.

Thank you for being part of it.

Current Fundraiser: The Mango Fundraiser

This season, we’re partnering with Bowen Mangos to bring fresh North Queensland mangoes straight from the farm to Killabakh. Each tray holds around 7kg of perfectly ripe fruit — 12 to 23 mangoes, depending on size — and costs just $31. It’s an easy (and delicious) way to support the KCA while stocking up for smoothies, chutneys, or a summer feast.

Orders close Wednesday 30 October, and we need a minimum of 64 boxes for the fundraiser to go ahead. Payments can be made via bank transfer (see below) or in cash at Thursday Produce. Once we hit the target, we’ll all be able to enjoy the sweet, sticky taste of community support — one mango at a time.

Order is delivered either last week in Nov or first 3 weeks in Dec. We can opt for which best suits but we’re not guaranteed.

Transfer your money to the KCA bank account, details below, or bring cash to Thursday produce:

  1. Transfer your payment to the KCA bank account:
Account Name: Killabakh Community Association Inc
     BSB: 082-856
     Account Number: 895293907

  2. Include your surname and number of boxes in the reference.

  3. Email your order confirmation to killabakhca@gmail.com.
Or bring cash to Thursday Produce at the hall.
